IH HDRI Pack 2 (interiors) by ironhead333 IH HDRI Pack 2 (interiors) by ironhead333
Been working on this for a little while now.  Like my last pack, all these have been generated on computer, this time using the Panorama Exporter in 3D Max.  I can't take any credit for modelling the scenes, they are all made from free scenes I found online.  I've included some normal back plate images rendered from 0, 90, -90 and 180 degrees (to use these, just rotate the environment projection in octane to match the name of the image you wish to use and make sure the alpha channel is enabled, then compile them in your photo/graphics editor of choice) .  I've optimized the gamma and brightness levels to work best with PoserOctanes default values.

Feel free to use/modify/share these how ever you want!

Does this work with Daz Studio 4.9? I'm having a ton of trouble getting this to render a visible, non-warped background that looks anything like in the pictures. The HDR loads and casts light, but if I want the actual background to be drawn and shown up in the render and not be horribly distorted ... Well after dozens of renders and setting changes, the most progress I've made is that I THINK these prefer Finite Box instead of the Sphere modes. But this seems more due to ignorance on my part than necessarily because they are incompatible, as I know nothing at all about HDRi and Dome settings.
Oops, I just saw your remarks to Regilio11. I'll look into that.
Oh, and thanks for providing this resource, even if I can't figure out how to use it!

Thank you for all the effort that went into making this free HDRI pack for us! And thank you for helping me overcome my fear of tinkering with HDRI lighting!

HDRiphobia, a condition I'm all to familiar with, luckily I found it's fairly easy to conquer and I'm glad I've helped you do the same.

Most welcome, hope you can make good use of them.  I think lighting is one of those things that most people feel they need to work on, I know I do!

The How:
This really depends on which software/rendering engine your using?  When I made these I optimized them for use within octane render but in theory they can be used in any rendering engine that supports HDR file formats.

The idea:
The HDR images included are basically 360 degree spherical image that has been unwrapped into a flat image (technical name for this Equirectangular)  This image then needs to be wrapped round you entire scene as a sphere, which will then project all the light/color information of the image to the center point within that sphere.  In octane this is really easily achieved as it has a texture enviroment that automatically does this, you just have to load the image.  If your using firefly on the other hand you would need to get/make an enviroment sphere that you could map this image too, Bagginsbill has a free enviro sphere available here:

sites.google.com/site/bagginsb…

He also has a good quick start guide on this site for how to setup the material for the sphere for use within poser.
If you want to use the background JPEGs I've included, you just need to make sure the enviro sphere is hidden from the camera but still visible in raytracing, and orientated in the same direction as the background image you wish to use, then save your final rendered as a png (or any file type that supports alpha channels) open it up in PS/Gimp, add the background image of choice and your done.

This really is a very basic guide and is a subject that I'm sure many people have different opinions and techniques for (and I am far from an expert), but I hope its enough to get you started.

As I said, I created these for use with octane, which is what all the example images have been rendered with, so I don't know what kind of results you can expect if your using another render engine.

I'll try write a more indepth guide when I have the time.
